Day 1: Arrival in Cusco - The Gateway to Ancient Inca Wonders
Your journey to the heart of the Inca Empire begins upon your arrival at Cusco Airport. Our friendly representative from Machupicchu Latinoamérica will be there to give you a warm welcome. As we take you to your hotel through the bustling streets of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas, you will start to feel the rich history that lives in every corner of this city.
During the journey, we will inform you about your itinerary and answer any questions you may have about your upcoming adventures. Once you settle into your hotel, you will notice the unique blend of Inca stone and Spanish colonial architecture that gives Cusco its distinctive charm.
Fun Fact: Did you know that the Incas believed Cusco was the center of the world? They called it the "navel of the earth" due to its strategic importance in their vast empire.
If you're up for it, consider an optional city tour (additional cost) to visit iconic sites such as Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) and Sacsayhuaman, an impressive fortress made of enormous stone blocks, each perfectly fitted without the use of mortar.

Welcome to Cusco, the starting point of your incredible adventure through the heart of the Incas.
Day 2: Explore the Sacred Valley - Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, the real adventure begins. Between 7:00 am and 7:30 am, your guide will pick you up for a journey through the stunning Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be at the Manos de la Comunidad Rescue Center, where you will meet friendly alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas, animals that played a vital role in Inca life.
Next, we will descend to the Taray viewpoint, which offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. As you gaze upon the expansive agricultural terraces, you will understand why this region was considered the granary of the Inca Empire.
Legend: It is said that the Sacred Valley was blessed by Pachamama, Mother Earth, who protected its fertile lands and ensured the prosperity of its people.
At the Inca site of Pisac, you will marvel at the ingenuity of Inca agricultural techniques as you explore ancient temples and altars. Then, we will visit the Pisac Market, where you can interact with locals and purchase beautifully handcrafted souvenirs.
After a buffet lunch in Urubamba (not included), we will continue to Ollantaytambo, a well-preserved Inca fortress where you will hear stories about the Inca god Wiracocha and how this site was used during the resistance against the Spanish.
In the afternoon, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, following the Vilcanota River through lush, green valleys. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel, and you will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this charming town.

Today is the day you've been waiting for. After breakfast, we will head to the bus station for a 30-minute journey up the mountain to the entrance of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Fun Fact:Machu Picchu was a well-kept secret during the height of the Inca Empire. It was rediscovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 after being hidden for centuries in the Andes.
Once inside, you will begin your guided tour of this magnificent citadel. Our expert guide will bring the site to life, explaining the significance of places like the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, and the Intihuatana, a ritual stone believed to have been used by the Incas as a sundial.
After the tour, you will have free time to explore the site on your own or simply soak in the mystical energy that surrounds Machu Picchu.

Myth: Locals believe that Rainbow Mountain was painted by the gods to reflect the diversity and richness of their land. The colorful stripes are caused by different mineral deposits in the earth.
