Day 1: Arrive in Lima

Upon your arrival at Lima airport, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will be waiting for you. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in our comfortable private transport, and along the way, we’ll offer information about Lima, its attractions, and tips for making the most of your stay. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to explore or relax at your leisure.

Day 2: Lima City Tour (B)

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at either 9:00 am or 2:00 pm, depending on your chosen schedule. You’ll start the tour by exploring the modern suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores. Highlights include the Financial Center, the Olive Grove Park, and a visit to the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid that has survived urban expansion. We’ll also stop at the Love Park (Parque del Amor), where you can enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the Miraflores Malecon.

In Colonial Lima, we will explore the historical center, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll visit Plaza Mayor, see the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and the San Francisco Monastery—including its famous catacombs. The tour ends with options to shop at the Indian Market or visit Larcomar Mall.

Day 3: Fly to Cusco + Free Afternoon (B)

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Lima airport to catch your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will greet you and take you to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to acclimatize and explore Cusco at your own pace. You can opt for a city tour of Cusco (extra cost) to get a glimpse of its rich Inca and colonial history.

Day 4: Maras-Moray, Chinchero, and Salt Mines Tour (B)

Start your day with a visit to Chinchero, a charming village where we will visit the Tupac Inca Yupanqui Royal House and witness local women demonstrating ancient weaving techniques. Next, we’ll explore the Moray archaeological site, famous for its concentric circular terraces used for agricultural experiments by the Incas. Finally, we’ll visit the stunning Salineras de Maras—salt mines with over 3,000 small pools that have been used since the Inca times.

Day 5: Sacred Valley Tour with Pisac and Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes (B)

Today, we embark on a full-day exploration of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop is the Pisac Inca site, where you’ll marvel at the ancient agricultural terraces and temples. We’ll continue to the village of Pisac to experience its vibrant market, where you can shop for local crafts. After a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, we’ll visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, with its massive stone structures and deep historical significance. From Ollantaytambo, we’ll board a train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Day 6: Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Cusco (B)

After breakfast, we’ll head to Machu Picchu by bus. Prepare for an awe-inspiring guided tour of one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Our expert guide will share in-depth knowledge of the citadel, explaining the significance of the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana Stone, and much more. After the tour, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the afternoon train back to Cusco.
